Kamala Harris
Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician. Born on the 20th of October 1964, she is the 49th Vice-President of the United States. She is also the first female vice-president and the highest-ranking female official in the United American. She is a senator and former US senator who represents California. Harris was born in Oakland, California, Harris graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. After starting her career as an Alameda County District Attorney Harris was enlisted to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In the following years, she was the City Attorney of San Francisco. In 2003, she was elected San Francisco District Attorney. Harris was elected Attorney general of California in 2010. In 2014, she was re-elected. Harris was the United States junior senator from California between 2017 and 2021. Harris beat Loretta Sánchez in the 2016 Senate elections, becoming the 2nd African American woman, and the first South Asian American, to be senator in the United States Senate. She was a senator who advocated for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. A path to citizenship for undocumented migrants. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. She is best known for her sharp questions to Trump administration officials during Senate hearings.
