Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn, born 19th August 1965, is an American actress. Her most well-known character is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The show ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said that she is a part of Passover seders.
