Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United American. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker was established by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then left the business. Corcoran was among the original Shark Tank investors. She has appeared in every season of ABC's Shark Tank. In February 2020, Corcoran had made 53 deals, with the largest being a $350,000 deal that covered 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran is the second child of 10 from a family of Irish Catholics who worked hard, was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence Corcoran's mother was a housewife. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. her father, was a skilled worker throughout the years of Corcoran's childhood. The family relied on food delivered by the local grocer who would deliver free food. Corcoran claims her father was a drunk who did her mother a disservice and sarcastic remarks. Corcoran was a struggle in school and later learned that she was dyslexic. Corcoran started high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood after having attended an Catholic primary school. Corcoran, who had failed many classes during her freshman year, moved to Leonia High School. There, she received a D.
